    Greetings, esteemed Link’s Basement community!

Recently, Roblox has introduced several changes that directly impact how we structure identity, data, and in-game systems. In response, we’ve begun reorganizing our internal tools and gameplay infrastructure to stay consistent, secure, and scalable across all experiences.

Below is a breakdown of each major update and its current status:

    Sword Fight Game

Our new Sword Fight will not be ready in time for the upcoming season. Development has been focused primarily on backend systems, with only a partial build existing internally. The current version is incomplete and not ready for public preview. Access remains restricted to XYLEM staff, the Hyperion bot account, and internal testers only.

    LinkCoins System

LinkCoins has been deprecated due to its overly pay-to-win structure. It no longer aligns with our intended progression model or balance philosophy. A replacement system is currently being evaluated, but no final solution has been selected yet.

    F3X Game

F3X will not be returning this season. Due to limitations and workflow issues within the Building Tools system, continued use is no longer viable. Anyone who played during our debugging seasons will know that it was very buggy. A decision is currently being considered on whether to develop a fully custom in-house building system to Building Tools, the root cause of the issue.

    HIT Applications

Host in Training (HIT) Applications will hopefully be migrated into Hyperion. It just puts everything in Hyperion, and that makes me happy :)

    Session Handling

Session management and handling will be moved into Hyperion and EMC. This includes session tracking, logging, and related administrative workflows.

    Verification System (Trident)

Verification is being moved to an internal system called Trident.

Due to Roblox’s Scoped ID changes, global cross-experience identity tracking is no longer supported. Trident will handle account linking per experience.

Users will have two options when joining:

    • Link their account for persistent data
    • Play without linked data, starting fresh

Account linking is permanent and experience-specific due to Scoped ID restrictions.

    SmartLogs System

SmartLogs introduces a controlled pipeline between game hosts and the database.

    Flow:

    • Hosts submit SmartLogs
    • Senior High Rank (SHR) staff review them
    • SHR staff can approve or deny logs (cannot approve their own submissions)
    • Approved logs are committed to player profiles as final data
    • Denied logs are removed entirely

Once processed, staff will confirm completion via Hyperion announcements in the database-updates channel, indicating that all wins have been finalized and can be viewed via /mywins.

    RankLocks System

RankLocks introduce enforced limitations on maximum achievable rank.

If a RankLock is active, Hyperion will prevent any promotion beyond the specified threshold. RankLocks will be visible through the Hyperion interface and /mywins once the system is ready.

    EMC System

EMC is our internal staff management panel. It handles:

    • Activity tracking
    • Session logging and claims
    • Staff operational oversight

While primarily staff-facing, EMC plays a critical role in ensuring accountability and structured session management across the group.

    Additional Notice

We are also exploring interim systems and temporary solutions while core infrastructure is being finalized. Some features may be restricted or replaced during this transition period to maintain stability.
